What’s the procedure when hacked?

“Apply hands to head. Proceed to smack your head into your monitor with great determination and force. No, seriously, try sending an in-game ticket to the Game Masters, describing the situation. The space is limited in the ticket so perhaps only mention that you were hacked and tell them that you’d like to talk to them in the game. Alternatively, find the e-mail address for the account support team thingy and send them a mail. Or phone them, but I hear that getting through might take a while. They’ll close your account, run some diagnostics and tests to make sure you’re not trying to exploit them, then they’ll most likely restore your deleted characters and if you’re lucky, return the gear and cash. Although any green/blue random-stat gear (like, “”of the “” gear) will be returned with random stats. That’s how they did it the last time I checked with them, anyways. Just be warned, no LUA addon could possibly carry a virus or keylogger. wow gold Where you get the keylogger is through security holes in your web browser, or downloading something that is not just an addon. (anything that is a .exe you should be very very careful of) If this is the only computer that has ever logged in to your account, and nobody has your password but you, then your account still is not safe until the keylogger on your computer is found. ” “It looks like I got most of the items back on my main character. wow lvl service Also, I think most of the guild items were returned to me so I have been slowly putting those back in the bank as I make space. I don’t think I got back all the gold I originally had on that character but I think that may be because the person used some of my gold to buy one or two more bags (since I now have 2 more bags then I started with).
All in all pleased. wow gold I got a /w from the GM responsible for handling it yesterday and it sounds like s/he was working on getting my deleted characters back next. I am pleased with things. Guess it’s a lot more then I had hoped. Still no sign of any sort of keylogger or virus on my computer. SAV, PCcillan, avast and I even bought Kaspersky because I was told that was supposed to be one of the best ones out there ATM. wow leveln None of them find any threats.. Well Kaspersky has an issue with the files that are used to download FEAR that I got from ebgames but that isn’t a virus warning.. more something about ads or something like that. I have tried hijackthis and looked at all the processes running. I looked each one up to see what it says. wow level service I even found a link on the WoW forums about account safety saying to go to a site that can scan your running processes and see if anything is out of the ordinary.. It didn’t find anything either. The only “”glaring”" hole I had in my web browser was that it appears noscript allows iframes by default and I read that is where some exploits can take place. Just worried that I will end up going through this whole mess again later because it just won’t find anything.” .RELATED LINKS:
